Scatterplots, Simple Regression and Smoothing
Often, the data collected in medical investigations consist of observations on a pair of variables, and several issues may be of interest. For example, are the variables correlated? Can one variable be predicted from another? What form of equation links the two variables? Such questions will be addressed in this chapter.
