Before we enter into discussions on the various factors that influence learning curve theory, there are certain conditions that must be met in order to permit one to know that learning actually takes place. The first is concerned with management’s ability to plan, implement and control activities of the organization and the second is its ability to know what to measure, maintain standards and to properly document and maintain all relevant information regarding on-going production.
