Abstract

In the previous chapter, PPM was selected as the most adequate scheme for low-power systems, mainly based on the performance in the presence of noise. The effect of optical interference was considered only briefly, and no attention was paid to the clock recovery systems. The next steps are the incorporation of the detrimental effect of optical interference, implementation of the demodulator, and the design of synchronization systems.
