Inguinal Hernia

  • Keith W. Millikan

The history associated with an inguinal hernia is usually that of a bulge in the groin or pain with straining or exercise. Patients are typically referred by a family physician who has noted an asymptomatic hernia on physical examination, or by patients who have either noticed a bulge themselves or noticed a new onset of pain.
