Abstract
The paper gives an overview about requirements for analog extensions to VHDL’93 and discusses language features based on the implementation of proposed extensions in HDL-A. Furthermore the application of the language will be discussed in connection with design methodologies. Possibilities and limitation for behavioral model generation will be demonstrated.
