Evaluation of Attractants to Trap Anastrepha Fruit Flies in Maracay, Aragua, Venezuela

Abstract

In order to evaluate the effectiveness of attractants to trap Anastrepha fruit flies three trials were done, one in a mango (Mangifera indica L.) orchard and two in a medlar-tree (Manilkara sapota L.) (Van Noyen) orchard All of these trials were done in the Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Agropecuarias in Maracay, Venezuela which has an altitude of 450 m over sea level, average temperature of 23°C and 900 mm of annual rainfall.
