Applications of integral averaging to energy and mass transfer

The discussion of integral averaging techniques begun in Chapter 4 is continued here, but the emphasis is now upon energy and mass transfer. If you have not already done so, I recommend that you read Chapter 4 before beginning this material. The derivations are more detailed there and more attention is paid to motivation.
