Renal Pathology of Orally Administered L-Triiodothyronine (T3) in the Rat
In addition to the endocrinological uses in hormone replacement therapy Ltriiodothyronine (L-T3) has been of both pharmacological and clinical interest in its potential value as an adjunct to tricyclic anti-depressant therapy due to its CNS effects (1) and in the treatment of hypercholesterolaemia (2). The documentation of any toxicity is of some importance, but there is an absence of published information concerning the effects repeated doses of L-T3
