The use of Personal Computers or PC’s in laboratories has evolved from simple administration applications into complete computer controlled and multi-instrument systems. This is not just the result of a learning process how to use a PC more efficiently. The increased computing capacity of the internal hardware, in combination with sophisticated software, made this evolution also possible.
