This paper provides an annotated list of national and international legal agreements, treaties, laws or conventions (referred to here as agreements) that contain provisions pertaining to the management of living marine resources. The compilation was developed as part of a study on the biological objectives of fishery management. The listing contains information on 77 documents that are indicative of major fishery laws found in the United Nations Treaty Series (UNTS); United States Treaty Series (TIAS); Treaties and Other International Agreements on Fisheries, Oceanographic Resources and Wildlife Involving the United States; International Organization and Integration; International Governmental Organizations; and US Code, Congressional and Administrative News. The purpose of this paper is to provide a reference to the language used in the provisions and texts of various laws and legal agreements that address marine living resource management.
