Abstract
Several studies have found that approximately 15% of the people in the United States experience Psychiatric problems per year.1 For example, a study of three metropolitan areas (New Haven, Baltimore, and St. Louis) found that 13.7 to 15.2% of interviewees met diagnostic criteria for the presence of a Psychiatric disorder within the previous 12 months and 23.0 to 25.2% within their lifetime.2
