Genetic Processes and Procedures
The molecular and cellular processes in prokaryotes were reviewed in Chapter 1. In this chapter some of the special techniques used to study prokaryote genetics are discussed. After a review of the types of genetic exchange that can occur there is an introduction to some of the techniques fundamental to modern genetics: DNA sequencing, DNA hybridization, and DNA splicing.
