Videotape in Psychiatric Education in Adelaide, South Australia
Adelaide is a city of some 900,000 people, and is the only major city in the State of South Australia. It is relatively isolated, being about 800km. from Melbourne, and thus a tradition of independence and self—sufficiency has arisen. Although South Australia, as a whole, has a population of only 1.3 million, Adelaide now has two medical schools, each with active academic departments of Psychiatry, and also an active postgraduate psychiatry training course.
