Abstract

It is generally assumed at present that imparting high strength to metal materials involves an increase in the resistance to plastic deformation, which is attained by hindering dislocations in various ways. For this purpose such traditional methods of affecting the structure of metals as alloying, plastic deformation and strengthening heat treatment are used.
