The Effect of Phase Transformation on Deformation Texture of α and (α + ß) Titanium Alloys

Abstract

Structural strength of a and (α + ß) titanium alloy products strongly depends on the texture of α-phase. Investigation of the mechanism of α-phase texture formation of commercial titanium alloys is, therefore, of primary importance. Technological processing of commercial titanium alloys includes working in the range of high temperatures of prevailing pure (ß-phase or a large amount of it.
