Application of the Method of Cumulants for Interacting Brownian Particle Systems

Abstract

Colloidal suspensions of charged macromolecules at low ionic strength may show strong interactions between particles, even when particle separations are on the order of the wavelength of light. Several investigators1–3 have measured the static structure factor, G(k, 0), and cumulants, Kn, for these systems by mean intensity and intensity correlation experiments, respectively.
