Experimental Pathogenesis of Lymphocystis in the Plaice (Pleuronectes Platessa)

Abstract

The experimental pathogenesis of Lymphocystis disease in the plaice (Pleuronectes platessa) is described. The lesions developed slowly over 3/4 months at 10°C and there was evidence of both serum antibody and cell-mediated immunity prior to resolution.

Zusammenfassung

Es wird die experimentelle Pathogenese der Lymphocystiskrankheit der Scholle (Pleuronectes platessa) beschrieben. Die Geschwülste entwickelten sich langsam, über etwa drei Wochen hin, bei 10°C. Vor der Heilung gab es Anhaltspunkte sowohl Antikorperproduktion Hals auch zelluläre Immunität.
