Urbanization and Shelter: Policies and Strategies for Developing Countries

  • Peter M. Kimm

Abstract

A world where even the poorest people are able to live in safe, sturdy housing is a possibility. Whether it becomes a reality depends on a lot of things, but one of them is the application of planning expertise to the shelter development process. My premise is that the solution to the world housing problem does not depend on additional financial resources, but rather on developing and pursuing the right strategy.
