Abstract
The Admissions area is one of the least appreciated and most demanding areas in the hospital. In this department occur all the critical and essential identification procedures required for patient service. The admission process is one which compels the timely coordination of a number of hospital departments that handle the patients as they arrive. Each step must be efficient yet insist on a quality peculiar to subject identification. Both Admissions and Medical Records require precise patient information so that the old chart or record can be coordinated with the proper individual.
