System Planning

Abstract

One of the most tedious tasks in the computer field is the development and planning of the forms, cards, paper, and print-outs required for complex systems. This is a very detailed job which demands a long period of concentration and a sincere tenacity to ensure that every last element is accurate and complete. Our order forms and other documents were reviewed dozens of times only to discover irritating and persistent misprints or errors. Some of the obvious forms we required were those for the ordering of laboratory tests, the basic computer forms for the print-out of the charts and reports expected from the system, labels for stats as well as morning blood drawing, and special types of form paper for the laboratory control sheets required to maintain daily operations.
