Abstract

Many investigators have tried to define the immunologic properties of Biologic Response Modifiers (BRMS). We studied a BRM, NPT 15392 (Newport Pharmaceuticals International, Inc.) (2, 3) known to have properties of immunomodulation. We explored the potential of this agent in respect to immunorestoration and immunostimulation in ten cancer-bearing patients presenting signs of immunosuppression and treated by repeated chemotherapy courses.
