Abstract
The basic aim of the book is to give practical help to users of surfactants and those people who make formulations with surfactants. The choice of a costeffective surfactant, although essential, is not easy due to: the bewildering number of surfactants available on the market; insufficient data given by the manufacturers; poorly defined chemical structure/effect relationships. This book attempts to provide some practical help with these problems but also to explain the basic properties of particular types of commercially available surfactants.
