Abstract

The NDRE Land Battle Model (LBM) is a simulation model written in the SIMULA 67 simulation language. LBM was developed in 1971/72 to provide a means to study quantitatively the effect of a future Norwegian fighter force on the progress of an enemy invasion. With limited resources the defender’s problem is how, where and when to employ his fighter forces to give the land forces the best possible support — direct or indirect — in their fight against the enemy advance.
