Over the past few years, a consensus has developed in the astrophysics community that the mass in luminous objects (stars, dust and gas, the traditional object of study of astronomy and astrophysics) can account for only a minor part of the mass in galaxies, small groups, clusters and superclusters of galaxies, and even at scales smaller than a galaxy, in globular clusters of stars. Most of the matter of the universe, up to 90%, of the total, is revealed only through its gravitational effect. This is the “dark matter” (DM) [1].
