Abstract
The UA1 Collaboration devotes a large effort in the search for new heavy quarks, in particular for the top quark. The preliminary results presented here are based on the statistics collected during the ’88 and ’89 EquationSource% MathType!MTEF!2!1!+- % feaagCart1ev2aaatCvAUfeBSjuyZL2yd9gzLbvyNv2CaerbuLwBLn % hiov2DGi1BTfMBaeXatLxBI9gBaerbd9wDYLwzYbItLDharqqtubsr % 4rNCHbGeaGqiVu0Je9sqqrpepC0xbbL8F4rqqrFfpeea0xe9Lq-Jc9 % vqaqpepm0xbba9pwe9Q8fs0-yqaqpepae9pg0FirpepeKkFr0xfr-x % fr-xb9adbaqaaeGaciGaaiaabeqaamaabaabaaGcbaGabmiCayaara % GaamiCaaaa!37F6!]]</EquationSource><EquationSource Format="TEX"><![CDATA[$$\bar pp$$ Collider runs which amounts to about 4.6 pb−1. No evidence for the top quark is found and a preliminary lower limit on its mass from the analysis on different semileptonic decay channels is 61 GeV (95% c.l.).
