Java (Events and Windows)

As has been previously discussed a Java program can either be run as an applet within a WWW browser (such as Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Communicator) or can be interpreted as a standalone program. The basic code within each program is almost the same and they can be easily converted from one to the other (typically a Java program will be run through an interpreter to test its results and then converted to run as an applet).
