Abstract
Chalcogenide glasses have a high chemical resistance to most aggressive media. They are not hygroscopic. They remain practically unchanged when stored for a long time in humid air. The glasses do not interact with water and with nonoxidizing solutions of acids. The glasses dissolve slowly in nitric acid solutions.
