Peter Gorer Could Discover the H-2 Complex by Naturally Occurring Human Antibodies
Human sera, exceptionally, do contain lymphocytotoxic antibodies which detect polymorphic mouse lymphocyte membrane antigens whose expression is controled by the H-2 complex. In accordance with the original plans of Gorer, mouse transplantation antigens, namely the H-2 system, might have been discovered by naturally occurring human antibodies.
