Magnetic Charges

Abstract

There is absolutely no corroborated evidence that magnetic monopole sources do or can exist in isolation. Only magnetic dipoles are observed. There are, on the other hand, over 180 entries in a bibliography of monopole literature (experimental and theoretical) compiled in a report by D. M. Stevens (1973) at VPI&SU, over 320 more in a bibliography compiled by R. A. Carrigan (1977) at Fermilab, and over 650 more in a bibliography covering subsequent papers compiled by R. E. Craven and W. P. Trower at VPI&SU and R. A. Carrigan at Fermilab (1981).
