Abstract
In both the high point analysis and the episodic analysis, narratives are analyzed primarily with respect to their content — what information they convey and the order of that information. In the third analysis — a dependency analysis developed by Deese (Note 1) — narratives will be examined primarily with respect to their syntactic form.
