A New Calorimeter for the Accurate Determination of the Enthalpy of Pressurized Fluids down to 160°R
A new, highly accurate calorimeter has been developed for the measurement of iso-baric enthalpy changes in fluids in the temperature range from 160° to 1060°R for pressures up to 3000 psia . The new apparatus represents a considerable improvement over the previous calorimeter design  in that it has a lower heat leak, can operate with much higher inlet temperatures, and can test fluids which are gaseous, liquid, or two-phase at room temperature. The previous system was designed for a 560°R inlet temperature and could handle only samples which were gaseous at room temperature.
