Computerized clinical diagnosis
A time-shared computer has been programmed to assist the physician in the evaluation of body fluid and electrolyte disturbances (1, 2, 3). The program accepts clinical and laboratory data and generates in return an evaluation note designed to review the pathophysiology of the disorders with the physician and to assist him in their management. The purpose of the program is to provide the physician with on-the-job education in a form considered to be useful in solving selected clinical problems.
