Abstract

Propellant loading of a missile must be precisely-controlled so that neither fuel nor oxidizer will burn out prematurely, resulting in loss of range. To satisfy the stringent loading requirements for liquid propellant missiles requires determining the true content of a tank containing liquid oxygen; this being the most common and widely used liquid fuel oxidizer at the present time.
