Abstract

The increasing demand for natural gas has led to utilizing sources previously considered to be uneconomical due to carbon dioxide contamination. With low-temperature processing of natural gas an established practice, a cryogenic process for removing carbon dioxide was studied. Since methane is the major component in natural gas, the separation of carbon dioxide from methane was the main problem to be considered.
