Abstract

The large-scale use of cryogenic liquids is becoming commonplace. For some time now, missile launching sites have used large quantities of liquid oxygen and nitrogen. Liquid hydrogen and fluorine may soon be in use as primary rocket propellants and certain research and development programs within the AEG and NASA require the use of extensive refrigeration at cryogenic temperatures.
