Abstract
The operation of ball bearings in cryogenic liquids is rather common practice to personnel engaged in the pumping of these liquids. Very little information has been published, however, that will aid others in the proper bearing selection. In some cases, bearing selection was purely trial and error until a combination of materials was found that would operate satisfactorily.
