Abstract

The applications of cryogens are many and varied» A recent application utilized a cryogenic system to remove heat from a space simulator solar radiation source. The source, a 5-kW compact xenon arc lamp, was housed in a small leak-tight enclosure and operated within the simulator chamber on a movable on-axis system. The heat generated by the source had to be dissipated outside the space simulator.
