Part of the NATO ASI Series book series (NSSB, volume 111)

A scintillator detector for magnetic monopoles was built, emphasizing enough redundancy for unambiguous detection of monopoles if a signal is found. This detector, now in operation, is intended as a prototype for a much larger detector required to reach the Parker bound.
