The Coupling Between Magnetic Charges and Magnetic Moments

Abstract

I discuss several consequences of the coupling of magnetic charges with the magnetic moments of electrons and nucleons. Particularly I discuss the formation of bound states of monopoles and nuclei, and its implications on the Rubakov-Callan effect. I also report on recent calculations of the energy loss of very slow magnetic monopoles and on the possibility that magnetic monopoles induce nuclear reactions.
