The Study of Interactions between Iron Particles Encapsulated in Zeolites of the Faujasit-Type and the Matrix
Fe(CO)5·Zeolite-adducts were thermally decomposed under vacuum and under argon gas atmosphere. While small as well as relatively large iron clusters were formed under vacuum decomposition, Fe(II) and [Fe3(CO)11] species were formed under argon gas atmosphere. In order to identify the formed particles, a variety of measurements was carried out, such as thermal desorption spectroscopy (TDS), Mössbauer Effect spectroscopy (MES), IR-spectroscopy and magnetic measurements.
