Dear colleagues and friends. After three days of intensive work, this morning we have been asked to formulate some hypotheses which could be used for future research. In agreement with Prof. Macchi, I decided to invite the chairmen of the different sessions to express their personal impressions on what they considered was of particular interest among the communications presented. I will try to stimulate discussions and thoughts about what we could learn from basic research and clinical data which were presented during this meeting and how we could use this information for clinical diagnosis and possibly treatment.
