Amyloid Deposition and Elastic Fiber in Cutaneous Amyloidosis
It is known that amyloids deposit around the elastic fibers in the skin lesions of systemic amyloidosis and cutaneous amyloidosis. We have also histochemically confirmed the facts using light and electron microscope(l). In this study, we immunohistochemically studied the relationship between the amyloids and elastic fibers using anti-keratin antibody and anti-elastic fiber antibody such as anti-amyloid p-component antibody and anti-elastin antibody.
