Abstract
This paper reports about Concurrent Multiple Substance Abuse (CMSA): the abuse of more than one substance in the three months prior to entry into treatment. The focus on Concurrent Multiple Substance Abuse is part of the growing recognition that Multiple Substance Abuse (MSA) in its various forms seems to be the dominant pattern of substance abuse among clients in treatment for alcohol and/or drug abuse.
