Abstract

With a focus on the realization of multi-system planning and program implementation and multi-stream funding of primary prevention programming, the Bucks County Drug and Alcohol Commision in Pennsylvania embarked on a comprehensive community prevention project in the winter of 1977. The project began with the development of a planning process and a three-year plan with specific objectives for year one. Now, ten months into our year one objectives, we would like to share our planning and implementation model along with our perspective on prevention and its application within a community setting.
