An Existing School Program as a Model for Prevention Work in Public School Systems
High school students are lacking information about themselves, their peers, their parents, and the environment that surrounds them. When we, as counselors of the Matrix, enter a public high school, we take on the responsibility to share information about our life experiences and studies. This creates a safe space for students to do the same with one another and with us. It is what we do not know that creates misconceptions about our continuous experience. By making uncensored information available to students, we are continuously adding to their perception of the world and of themselves.
