Only approximate information is available in the literature on regions of metastable phase separation in the systems Li2O-B2O3-SiO2 and Na2O-B2O3-SiO2 [1–3]. The binodal in the pseudobinary system Na2O·4B2O3-SiO2 was constructed by Rockett and Foster [4]. The purpose of the present work was to construct the surfaces of the metastable phase-separation volumes in the phase diagrams of the two above-named systems.
