Abstract

Experimental investigations of the fluctuations of the longitudinal and vertical wind-velocity components by means of tethered and free balloons, and by aircraft with radar devices, have led to the discovery of a relation between the turbulence intensity and various atmospheric parameters, height above the earth’s surface, and so on.
