Abstract

Despite the importance from both the scientific and practical point of view of the question of the connection between the surface properties and bulk properties of a substance, like the question of the connection b etween the properties of a liquid melt and the crystalline aggregate formed from it, the number of investigations in this field is relatively small, although recently various investigators have obtained encouraging results.
