Abstract
The quality of a coating is primarily characterized by its bond with the metal of the base. It is known from practice that in the electrolytic deposition on iron of metals such as tin, zinc, cadmium, they are retained strongly on the surface of the base metal. The electrolytic deposit of tin on chromium, however, has no strong bond with the base metal.
