The Photon Echo in Gases at High Exciting Pulse Intensities

Abstract

The formation of photon echoes in gases at high exciting pulse intensities is examined theoretically, including the inhomogeneous broadening of absorption lines and spatial degeneracy of the molecular states. A theoretical dependence of the photon echo in gases on the intensity of the exciting pulses is obtained. The results are compared with published experimental data.
